Shon McLain

Shon McLain, the founder and President of Saratoga Strategic Partners, started this company in 2007.  He has been a financial planner since 2000.  He is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Equity Services, Inc. and has his Series 7, 24 and 63 registrations.

His professional accomplishments include many Leadership awards* and is New York State Partnership certified.

Shon has found Saratoga Springs to his liking as he worked as a thoroughbred horse trainer for 10 years before becoming a financial planner in 1999.  While working on the track for D. Wayne Lukas he handled such horses as Kentucky Derby winners Thunder Gulch (2005) and Grindstone (2006).  His knowledge of the thoroughbred industry along with the lifelong friends he has developed at the track have made for a great combination of business and pleasure here in Saratoga County.

Family is also a huge part of Shon's life.  He is married to Leslie McLain, a Gloversville native and has two children Katie age 7 and Michael age 5 that both attend Saratoga Springs schools.

"I have a strong belief that a successful community creates a positive environment for your children."  Because of that Shon is a proud/active member of the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce and volunteers with such groups as the NY State Race Track Chaplaincy Program, Saratoga National Little League, and Kiwanis.

Shon is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Equity Services, Inc. and offers securities in New York.  He is also insurance-licensed in New York.
